What is it?

Peace Team is made up of a group of neutral trained mediators that work in schools to support students & staff experiencing conflict by bringing mediation services directly into the school buildings.

Free, private mediation services are provided in school during the school year for participants who volunteer to try the service.

In mediation, participants work in a collaborative process to come up with their own ideas around how to resolve their conflict or make a plan to see things be different in the future.

Who is it for?

Mediation is available to anyone in a Kent or Queen Anne’s Counties, including in the many of our public schools thanks to our "Peace Team" program. If Peace Team isn't in your building yet, you can still request mediation.

Students and staff can work with Peace Team.

Mediation works best with a small group of 2 or 3 people who are in the same conflict or want to make a plan together.

How does it work?

Anyone can request Peace Team services for themselves or for others.

Peace Team will meet privately with everyone one-on-one to explain the BIG 4 (see above)
and offer mediation, if it is appropriate.

Mediation will be held only with participants who have agreed to meet together during a time that works for everyone.
