Half-time and full-time positions are open for an 11-month service term through AmeriCorps where you will be trained to serve locally as a mediator in
​Kent and Queen Anne's counties, especially in the public schools. All benefits listed are based on full-time service and will be adjusted for half-time service members. 
​Service Term: August 11, 2025 - July 10, 2026. 

- ANYONE CAN BE A PEACEMAKER -

A donation of $15, $50, $500, or more makes a significant difference in our capacity to provide mediation services and train new mediators.
​Mediation with CMUS is free of charge. Local families, friends, neighbors, businesses, schools, and others use mediation at no cost thanks to donors like you. 

The dedication of volunteers and generosity of donors support our work as peacemakers. 
Mediation is a process that brings people together to have collaborative conversations for building understanding, brainstorming solutions, and feeling heard. Mediation is voluntary and confidential.  The mediators and staff are impartial, so they don't give advice or make judgements. 

Call our office to have a conversation about what to expect, so you can decide if mediation is right for you at this time. 
With training, mentorship, and time, volunteers can become excellent community mediators.  Interested community members can learn the collaborative skills of mediation and inclusive listening through the highly recommended training with Community Mediation Maryland.
